Virtual Fridge

Define and organize your biological objects (DNA, Strains, Chemical, Media) and samples.

Collection

You organize your Fridge into collections. By default, everything goes to the collection Default! But it can be convinient to organize your materials into: most used strains, reporters, inducers for example. Create a collection:

DNA & AA

Add you DNA by importing your file (fasta, genbank, ApE) or create it using OpenVectorEditor.
If your DNA encodes for an AA sequence, it will be automatically added.
You cannot create two DNA object with the same sequence or same name.

Strain

Transform your DNA into strains.
Keep track of the lineage.

Chemical

Add chemicals you'll use in your assay.

Media

Add media you use in your assays.

Lab Notebook

Organize your work into projects.

Keep track of your progress following the Design>Build>Test principles.

Store your assays, define your plate layout and import your measurement data. You'll get back your automagically annontated data file ready to analyze.

Workflow:

Project

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to answer a scientific question. Start a project to do so!

Document

You will find document tabs. Please take notes to help you or your (future) teammates understand how the work being done.

Design

Which strains, media, or chemical will you need? Browse from your collections!

Build

Do you have samples in your lab fridge? You'll need all of them before you can start your assay.

Test

You will find document tabs. Please take notes to help you or your (future) teammates understand how the work being done.

Assay

Well, typically you will need to answer a question about your biological system. Design an assay to do so.
Once data has been collected, you can get a fully annotated csv file compiled from your data. No more take note/miscommunications. Communication between wet and dry lab has never been easier!

Plate

We support well plate of any size. You will input which sample(s) to add in which amount.
Use it in the lab to guide your work.

Data | Measurements

If you use a lab instrument to collect data, attach them to your plate. We currently support data from plate reader or flow cytometer. Please contact us if you have specific needs!

Plot your data

You can use our app to plot the data you collected for each plate.

You can share you projects or collections with teams and networks.

First, create an account

Team

Team are your coworkers. They can edit what you give them access to.

Network

Networks are your colleague. By default we are all part of the ebioome family, the public network. Everyone part of a network can see what project or collection is shared with the network. However they CANNOT make any edits.
Consider sharing your work with others!
You can create networks, say your university's departement. That way, if you need something you found from your next door colleague it is very easy to get it.



Search the biospace

You can share you projects or collections with teams and networks.

Search all the data you have access to.
You can compare the results to help you choose with which thing to move foward to (we have all encoured 100s of DNA sequences named pLAC....)
